Friends from Afar

Several times now I've had the privilege of meeting blogging friends. First was Vanessa when we went to the Outer Banks. Then came Leigh Ann, Deanna, and finally, this past summer, I met Becky. Today, after reading their mom's blog for several years before she turned the writing mostly over to Rosie, another wish came true. I don't remember the first time I read Eyes of Wonder, but I remember how I felt. At peace. Thankful. Surrounded by love and beauty.

Jewels has a way with words, and a heart of gold, and I'm here to tell you that her children are absolutely delightful. I'm thrilled to be welcoming them into our home for the next several days.

Autumn made homemade gifts for each of them.

A quilt for Joe,

and shawls for Rosie and Julia.

We were honored to be able to share Julia's birthday with her today.

The evening went late with Apples to Apples,

and Words with Friends.
