Just the Three of Us

We recently had a "family" photo taken of just the three of us. It seemed like a little bit of an odd thing to do with three-fourths of our children missing, but this is how most people know us these days. I find this to be an odd stage of life, actually. When meeting people in our new city they assume Abigail is an only child, and look at me with wonder when I explain that no, actually she's the youngest of four!

I totally know how you feel. We have three but our boys are all stateside and our 17 year old daughter is the only one left. It's an odd feeling.

Precious people whether 6 or 3!

It is funny though isn't it? When we are out now as a family it is just the 5 of us and we know people have no idea that 3 of us are missing. And now spouses and a grand!

It's our new reality and we are loving this batch of kid's childhood!

I feel the same way now that the boys are older and gone so much. It often feels like it's just the three if us.
