There's been lots of talk of quilts, and not much of family around these parts. We've gone from a houseful of children to having only one left at home. This past weekend, Mac graduated from college and will continue to live in an apartment in the same town where he attended university these past four years. He's been employed as a technical writer for an auditing firm over the past year, and was hired full time. Autumn is sharing a house with a friend, attending school, and working several jobs. Collin recently rented a home, and is employed locally. He's attending school as well. That leaves just Abigail here with us.
It's quiet. Very quiet.
With everyone scattered here and there, the last time we were all together was Easter 2012. I was thrilled to get to spend Friday evening and most of Saturday with our entire family.
Time marches on.
Photography credit goes to Mac's friend Sarah who was majoring in photojournalism, but has recently made a switch.

Oh my goodness! These are the greatest!
I often think, in the midst of the busy-ness of young children-rearing, how nice it will be when the house is empty and I have LEISURE time. And then, almost instantly I realize that I am the type of girl who can only take SO MUCH leisure time...and when the children are mostly gone, I will probably have TOO much and long for these busy days I am in.
I have been oogling and admiring the works of your hands as you fill up your free time with productivity-but I can understand just how excited you would be to have your family all around.
And your family looks SO different today from when I first began reading your blog how ever many years ago that was! You all are fabulous- and the pictures are too!
Beautiful family! Congratulations to Mac. XOXO
So glad you had this time together!
That Abigail is darling...love her dress and boots!
Love you, Friend!

I hear you!! It is a crazy time of life when they start to sprout wings and fly away. We are setting up to have a very quiet Summer with Chelsea in Australia/Thailand and Mikey in the Army (if he gets accepted)...but Jonathan is likely to be with us for a while yet.
The photos of your family are great. You all look so happy to be back together.
oh, what lovely family photos! Happy Mother's Day!! My mom just got so emotional when were all leaving the nest and it was so hard to get us all together. . . now we all live not too far away and she cooks dinner for us once a week as a way to get us back :) It's great.
It's been ages since I've visited your blog...as my own two youngest girls are growing, I've found that I have much less time for the computer. But every once in a while I get time to visit the few favorites that I've been visiting since I first discovered blogging.
I tell you all this to say that I can't believe how grown up all four of the kids look.
I can hardly believe that Mac has graduated---I remember him going off to college and it feels like just a year or two ago! (I'm sure you feel the same way!)
The pictures are fantastic and you all look great!
P/S: Congratulations to Mac on his graduation.
Your family has grown up so much! Such a great picture!
