A Slow Finish

When I saw this image on Pinterest, I chuckled. Oh, how very true it is!

I truly enjoyed working on this embroidery/quilt project, but it took me much longer than it should have. I needed an eye exam because my current reading sewing glasses aren't pulling their weight. I've taken my keen vision for granted, but the more fine handwork I do, the more I realize I am definitely aging! In order to see the light markings for the embroidery I had to sit directly beside the window during sunny days.

Nevertheless, I did finally complete this pretty little project last week. It has been washed and dried.

I even embroidered my name and the date on the back. Now to decide where to hang it. I was thinking it would be perfect in my sewing room, but Verne thinks it would be nice in our bedroom. Decisions, decisions...

I had to go to bifocals...I could see better to read without my glasses...made me feel middle aged! Ha!
