Rachel's been traveling and studied abroad this past semester, and we hadn't seen her since Christmastime. I couldn't wait to hug her when we met up last weekend to watch Mac run a marathon.
When she found out that Abigail was going to be in a play this weekend, Rachel made plans to drive several hours to stay with us and attend opening night of the performance. Abigail was thrilled. So was I!
Since Verne was out of town Wednesday evening, Rachel shared my bed. We talked more than we slept, but that's what sleepovers are all about, right?
Rachel and I picked strawberries to go along with our yogurt for breakfast, and then the girls were off and running. So cute!
We taught her to play Ticket to Ride, and she came in second behind Collin. No one can seem to beat him, so there was no shame in that.
After the play we headed out for ice cream, and back home again. This beautiful girl hopped back in her car this morning and headed west once more. I have to say that I'm very happy I only have to wait two weeks until I see her smiling face again. And next time, Mac will visit, too!
She is a beauty. She sounds lovely and thoughtful, and I think it is so sweet that you had a sleepover!
ReplyDeleteMiss you!
This is a wonderful Blessing...Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYou captured lots of happiness in these wonderful pictures..
hugs
Sounds about perfect to me (other than the running part as right now that just sounds painful.)
ReplyDeleteNot sure who she is Tracy. Obviously someone you love a ton.
Oh, and girl, you blow me away every time I see a pic of you. You look like you are in your 20's!
Ginger,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliment. I don't think you NEED to be running anywhere right now... just RECOVER! lol
Rachel is Mac's very sweet girlfriend. She feels like family! ;-)
