::April 3::

A gorgeous spring day that felt more like summer, a packed lunch, and emerald green were just three of the wonderful things we experienced today. We also witnessed teamwork, kindness, and water falls- big and little. Wooden bridges, brave swimmers, and snakes in trees won't be soon forgotten. It was a day for making memories. 9.2 miles hiked in a little over 4 hours left us tired, but happy. And there was ice cream for dessert.

  2. I read about Autumn and Joe over at Rosie's blog, and can't tell you how excited I am for her : ) Truthfully, since Rosie, Julia and Joe came to visit, I've been expecting "news"!
    Looks like a fun day hiking!

    And failing.

    Does it work this time?

  4. Ah! Bravo!

    What I have been typing up (and the nasty computer never let me publish) were

    1) I love your springy header

    2) You look really lovely (and already tan!) in the picture a few posts down!

    3) I can't believe you have johnny jump ups already!

    4) I know you will do great on your marathon. But, of course, now it is over and I am dying for a report! Honestly, I am so SO impressed you can run for 13 miles. That is insanity! I probably couldn't WALK for 13 miles and still be productive the rest of the day.

    I have been jog/walking since January about three times a week. I jog 1/4 miles, hike up a steep hill 1/4 miles, turn around and walk down the hill 1/4 mile and then jog the last 1/4 mile home. But try as hard as I might, I can't jog more than those two 1/4 miles with a break in between. I feel like I am going to die afterward. I wonder if I just don't have running in me?

    I wonder-any secrets?

    Now. Imagine writing the above comment like four times. ugh.

    And for todays post: snakes in trees? Now THAT would give me the heebie jeebies. Snakes don't bother me at all, unless they drop on my head! All the photos were lovely and the time looked lovely too. Enjoy your company and tell Autumn to enjoy her trip! What fun! So happy for you all!
