He should have left this morning and spent the night away, but he rearranged once again. Not for the basketball team, but for me. Without me asking. Even when I told him we could celebrate another day, and it really wasn't necessary, he didn't want to leave me any room for thinking that a basketball team was more important than me, and he insisted.
He had a long day, driving for hours, and then back home again to take me out to dinner. His actions speak every bit as loud as his words, and for that I am thankful.
