Natural Beauty

Thirteen. Do you remember feeling awkward? I do. And I know Abigail feels it, too. I don't see it in her, though. All I see is beauty. Though she isn't perfect and has her faults like anyone else on this earth, she is sweet, and kind, and gentle. She loves to snuggle with me, and has a tender heart. She's loyal, and funny. She's naturally beautiful, inside and out. I make sure she knows that I think so, too.

I was never comfortable in my own skin, but I want my daughters to know how precious and special they are. I want them to be confidant in my love for them. It's important for both mother and daughter.

I was never comfortable in my skin growing up and never felt good about myself so I think it's wonderful that you are trying to let your daughters know how beautiful and valuable they are. She is indeed beautiful!

I understand that feeling. When did you start to feel comfortable in your own skin?

Oh yes, Tracy!

Rachel will be 13 this year - she has many of the same qualities as Abigail...I think their natural beauty comes from knowing the source of beauty!

Love you!

She is very beautiful! I didn't become comfortable in my own skin until I was in my mid-40's, but I so enjoy it now! Better late than never.

She is SO beautiful! I wish my skin looked like that! Growing up can be so tough, but when you have such supportive parents it can really just set them up for success! That is my hope for my chitlins!

I am STILL not comfortable in my own skin! ha!

Just popping by to say hello and that I have been missing my 'visits' with you. Of course, life is lived so your priorities are right. I do hope all is well!
