Yesterday we had rain and wind, but today was as mild as it could have been. Temperatures in the low 70's, and warm breezes were welcomed on this first day of March. 
This evening, Autumn asked me if I had tried to stand our broom up today. After I looked at her quizzically, she explained that only on a Leap Year, on March 1st, you can stand your broom up. And indeed, you can! Quick! Try it! It takes no effort at all. Ours has been standing for quite some time, smack dab in the middle of the dining room floor.
