I'm catering a Christmas party for a local business tomorrow (50 people!). I baked 32 dozen cookies last night. I have to bake 20 dozen more today. I also need to make homemade hamburger buns for the party. Six dozen of them! Despite that, I spent the afternoon making 5 dozen cake pops that look like little Christmas cupcakes for the cast and crew of the local production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Have I lost my ever-loving mind??
See, there are always cake pops at the concession stand, and all of the children in the cast always want to buy them. Fact is, they like them so much the concession stand runs out, leaving none for the patrons. So, I got the bright idea to surprise the cast and crew with FREE cake pops all around. Perhaps I did lose my mind, but I think there were quite a few happy children tonight, and isn't that the point?
Back to the kitchen!
Yes, I think you may have lost your ever-lovin' mind, but those are so CUTE!
ReplyDeleteWow! You need to take a picture when you are done!
Good luck with it all.
You are their hero! That was sweet to think of them!

ReplyDeleteI can hardly comprehend the pantry space you would need for all those ingredients!!! But you are so sweet to make those cake pops for the kids. . .
ReplyDeletehope your catered event goes well.
So, how did it go?
ReplyDeleteThe cake pops are adorable! Are they difficult to make?
Those pops are so cute! How nice of you in the midst of all your other baking to do those too! I have Christmas cookies to bake this week but certainly not as many as you are doing!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet of you! (And a bit insane.)
ReplyDeleteNext to my children, those cake pops are the cutest things I've ever seen. ;)
