Pink Lemonade Quilt

I've been busy working on several quilts over the past few months. I'm on a mission to finish what I start, and this particular quilt seemed like a great place to begin. I started this at least 6 years ago, way back when Abigail's favorite color was yellow. Now? Her favorite color is pink. Whew! Glad I used those two colors together!

The pattern came from a quilting magazine, which I've misplaced or gotten rid of at this point, and I can't remember the name of the pattern, but as I hung it on the line to photograph it, Pink Lemonade was all I could think of. Sweet and tart at the same time.

The back is just plain white, which shows off the hand-quilting quite nicely. Though the stitches are far from perfect, it's done, and on her bed tonight.

Now to make a dust ruffle, curtains, and a pillow sham.

  1. Did you hand quilt that? So beautiful! What a gift of love....an heirloom to pass down to a daughter of her own....

    You are amazing.

  2. Deanna,
Yes, I did hand-quilt it. Hence, the long time in finishing it!
