Endless Summer

It's hard to believe that we're only a month into summer. Each morning as I walk I find myself anticipating cooler temperatures, sweaters, and the crisp smell of autumn. Not that I'm wishing the time away, I'm not.

Despite the blazing temperatures, the Endless Summer hydrangea blooms and blooms, and oddly produces several different shades of blossoms on the same plant. I've heard you can make them more blue or pink by changing the acidity of the soil, but I'm happy to enjoy both colors on one bush!

summer has its own reward but truth be told, i'm longing (already!) for autumn. ;o) hydrangeas are one of my favorite blossoming plants. lace cap hydrangea is gorgeous - have one of those and 4 of the pom pom variety. so so pretty.

My hydrangea are like that too! I have really enjoyed them!

Autumn is my favorite season so I always long for it but I am trying to not rush it. I like to find and enjoy the beauties in each season. It has been really hot here the last two summers starting in the spring, so it really seems like it has been summer for three months already!

The hydrangea will be gone in Autumn and that will be sad...though we will rejoice in the cool weather!

Love to you today!
