Cooped Up
Rain or shine, these girls like to be out and about. They tolerate being cooped up until about 9 AM, and then they start making awful cacophonies reminding us that they do indeed want to go outside, no matter the weather. I can't decide whether their little fluffy bottoms are cutest atop the snow in the winter, or the green grass in the summer, but they are adorable!

Our chickens actually roost outside. We ran pieces of wood through the fence for them. In the winter we do put tarps around the fence. Our girls only go in the house to lay their eggs. Keeps the house cleaner;-)
Our chickies like to have a bit of free range time! Today they wandered to the neighbors yard...I don't like that - wouldn't want said neighbor to think chicken dinner would be good!
Yours are adorable...
