I've been enjoying the cosmos on the side of the shed for the past several weeks. The brilliant pinks surrounded by lush green don't even hint that autumn is here. Too bad they waited so long to bloom.

I've been enjoying the cosmos on the side of the shed for the past several weeks. The brilliant pinks surrounded by lush green don't even hint that autumn is here. Too bad they waited so long to bloom.

Mine did too! They are pretty now, but I wish we could have enjoyed them all summer.
I have had them blooming into November, though this year, they were done for by the beginning of September.
...there must be some kind of lesson from them...about being a "late-bloomer"....or blooming out of season....hmmmm...they are pretty....enjoying flowers in autumn...nice...

I have not had Cosmos in my garden for years, I would like to add them back in, as they do provide nice color in the late summer & early fall! :)
