I love that quote and I find it to be quite true in my life. When I start comparing myself, my home, my family and my ministry to others I can become discontent.
I think your quote is more succinct, but I thought you'd enjoy the following:
". . . honest contentment consists not in persuading ourselves that our things are the very best in the world, but in believing they are the best for us, and giving God thanks for them."
